Our trailer tracker features a 5 year battery life. It updates once a day. After it updates it goes into a sleep mode to preserve that 5 year battery life. Then in the event you need to locate , track, or recover your trailer for any reason, you can send a signal to the device and put it into Aggressive Mode. So when it’s time for it to do its daily cycle update it would wake up, check-in with you, get that signal, know to stay awake, and from there you can continuously track it in real time until you recover your trailer and put the device back to sleep.
The trailer tracking device is waterproof, weather proof and can be bolted anywhere, we generally recommend, on top of the trailer so long as its getting the best signal possible.
