Locate Golf Carts on Demand
The golf cart GPS tracker has multiple GPS tracking options. The first option with the LMU-1230 waterproof gps tracker is the ability to locate on demand. This unit is 4G and works in US, Canada, and Mexico. It runs off the power of the golf cart. The technology makes it go to sleep when it’s not moving. This conserves the battery life. It also shows all the stops. It makes it easy to locate a golf cart on demand.
Set Up a Geofence for Golf Carts
Another feature the golf cart gps tracking devices include is a geo-fence. This is awesome technology. It alerts the user when the tracker breaks a perimeter. This can be a small property, city, state, anything. The golf course created a geo-fence around the golf course to get alerted when the cart goes outside of an area. Sometimes, members who live close will drive the carts home to grab lunch or whatever. The golf club didn’t mind it that much. So we were able to create 2 geo-fences. The first was within a range they felt comfortable with but they wanted to be aware. The second geo-fence was far enough that they knew it was probably stolen.
Speed Alerts for Golf Carts – Why is This Important?
The other alert we set was a GPS tracking speed alerts. This sent a notification when the golf cart went over 30 miles per hour. Now wait! Golf carts don’t go 30 miles an hour. Correct, they don’t. I mean it would be awesome if they did. If the cart is going 30 miles per hour, most likely it’s being towed behind a car. So this means it’s probably stolen.
The GPS tracker will show all stops. So even if it stops at a gas station, the time stamp would allow the police to get the security footage and maybe get a license plate to what was pulling it. How cool is that.
Sometimes, the golf carts get left in weird places. Just like shopping carts at grocery stores. They get left in the parking lot, behind the bathrooms, etc. So the crew needs to account for all carts before they go home. Sometimes it takes everyone taking carts out to locate it. GPS now allows them to jump on to the platform and get the exact location.
Since the waterproof GPS tracker is only $150 per unit, the cost of equipping all the golf carts is less than one missing cart. Very cost effective.

Yes. A geo-fence can be set up around any perimeter. That can be the golf course, town, city, state, whatever. You will get alerted via email/text as soon as it leaves that pre determined area.
GPS tracking is excellent for anti theft. The technology has alerts to let you know if it goes missing. One alert is a speed alert. At a high speed, it’s clear that the golf cart is being towed.
